Welcome to the Yorkshire Norton Owners Club

We hope you will enjoy your time here and whether you are a past, current or potential Norton Owner you are welcome to join our branch of the truly international Norton Owners Club.

As a member you will be able to tap in to a wealth of technical information and know how, meet and chat to like minded enthusiasts, join in organised Ride-outs, attend the monthly branch meeting and generally join in. The Yorkshire branch members are a friendly group of all ages amongst whom you will soon feel at home.
To join please contact the branch secretary on the contact us page.

We meet every second Wednesday of the month, at THE MARSH on Waterloo Road, Pudsey at 19.30hrs. All we ask is that all members and visitors put £1 into the branch funds collection every meeting. Any change of venue will be notified here.

Scarborough Ride Out – 17th June 2017

Welcome shade at the Dalby Forest visitors centre on a hot sunny day

11 bikes met at the start of the run, unfortunately we lost Harry before the 1st stop but met up again at Oliver’s Mount.

Martin left his Commando at home and brought along his Guzzi, now Commando’s are good looking but the LeMans Mk1 is stunning!

A stop at the Flimber Café in the woods on the way home, 192 miles were covered in the day.

Sowerby Bridge Bike Show

Branch members posing with the canal boats moored behind, a very pleasant setting for a bike show.

Six bikes on display before the show started, the sun came out later in the day and a good number of people came to support the charity event.

Peak District Ride Out (AKA The drop off ride out) – 13th May 2017

10 bikes attended the ride out, within the first 20 miles we had numerous bits drop off Norton’s (headlight, footrest and brake master cylinder cap!), but is was another very good day with only a couple of showers over the higher ground.

Quick stop at Ladybower before heading for Castleton and a lunch stop

First Ride Out of 2017

The first ride out of 2017 visited the Dales, this photo show’s the stunning Ribblehead viaduct in the background. 13 bikes joined the run which thankfully managed to avoid the rain showers, 130 miles were covered in the day.

Ride Out 27th August

20160902_071905

Five bikes (7 people) attended the ride out which the weather forecast predicted would be dry (it was wrong!!!), The first stop was at ‘The Carding Shed’ at Hepworth near Holmfirth which is well worth a visit for classic vehicle fans (hence the pic above). Heading into the High Peak area of Derbyshire the rain started to fall leaving Glossop and never stopped after that for the duration of the ride out. 90 miles were covered on the run on great roads (even if a lot of them were wet!).
