The AGM was very well attended at the Heritage Motor Centre, which is an excellent venue. Mike Jackson was interviewed and gave an entertaining response, the highlight of the meeting was Stuart Garner’s attendance and address to the meeting about Norton Motorcycles, he reviewed the progress so far and the plans for the future, he left the impression that the marque is in safe competent hands.

Branch Members issued with ‘Yorkshire Branch’ garments.

28 Branch members have been issued with a garment branded with the Yorkshire branch logo, individuals who regularly attend branch meetings and / or who contributed to the running of the 2012 International Rally in Skipton were asked to select a Sweatshirt, Fleece Jacket or a T-shirt as a thank you from the club. The garments were paid for out of the branch bank account which is in a very healthy state.

NOC Branch Secretaries Meeting 25th November

22 people attended the branch secretaties meeting held in Warwick, 13 of these were branch secretaries, the rest were NOC Executive Committee members. The Yorkshire branch was represented at the meeting. Details will be fed back to branch members at the December branch meeting.

Classic Bike Guide Big Breakfast – Eleven branch members attended the event, a few brave souls even submitted their pride and joys to the dyno man to inflict his own form of mechanical torture!?! Unfortunately one Commando didn’t get to the event due to a belt drive problem.

All fed and watered at the CBG Big Breakfast – one Nott’s Branch member was allowed to upgrade branches on a temporary basis!

Belt drive still in place, but the belts teeth have all sheared off!

Ian Jayne stood down from the position of Branch Secretary at the September (AGM) meeting after 6-years in the position, Ian was largely responsible for the reforming of the Yorkshire Branch of the NOC, and its current very healthy state. Ian’s ‘service’ to the branch was acknowledged by all at the meeting with a huge round of applause, well done Ian and thank you for all your hard work.

Begonia Rally – 7 members attended the rally in Belgium over the weekend of 24th to 27th August. See Barry’s report in the Discussion section.

Withensea Run 19th August 2011 – 7 bikes attended the 192 mile round trip. Nigel’s Commando lost its electrics but he eventually found them again, Owen adopted Barries senior statesman role and got abandoned, sorry Owen!

Withensea bike fest, a long run in dry weather!

Hebden Bridge Vintage Weekend – The Yorkshire Branch put on a very good display, 11 bikes were lined up in front of the NOC tent, these ranged from singles to a rotary.

At least 13 members attended the event which was blessed with good weather

Before the crowds arrived branch members had everything set up for a great day.
