Yorkshire Branches Quiz
On Thursday 17th April a joint branch quiz was held between the East Yorkshire branch and the Yorkshire Branch, 5 members from the Yorkshire Branch made the journey across to Howden and were surprise winners of the quiz, well done to Bruce, Peter, Andy, Barrie and John who scooped the prize of a gallon of beer! A good night was had by all. Thanks to Harry, Alan and the rest of East Yorkshire branch for their hospitality (and beer).
Branch members visit Donington Hall and witness a 961 Commando build in the Hastings House area.

Chairman’s Run – 12th October
9 bikes braved the rain and mist on the ‘Final’ last run of the season which was held to celebrate our Chairman being back on the road. The run stopped at Pateley Bridge and the Sun Inn at Fewston,
He’s back!!!
At long last Barrie Blayney (our beloved Chairman) has the 99 back on the road after his engine blow up and rebuild problems, he describes himself as ‘One Happy Biker’.
Last planned ride out of 2013 – seven bikes took part in the run which was originally destined to go to Saltburn, however as the hill climb was cancelled and bad weather was forecast the group had a 120 mile run around North York’s, stopping in Thisk and Ripon. The journey home from Ripon was damp!

Norton factory visit – CRMC weekend at Donington Park
Barry and Andy visited the Norton works during the CRMC racing weekend at Donington and managed to get a test ride on a new 961 Commando. The factory will move to Donington Hall commencing Monday 12th August.

10 bikes joined the run (6 Norton’s) that took place in dry and very warm conditions (a welcome change from our last North West run!). Harry and Russ had wandered off when the photo was taken. Colin McConnachy from the South Lakes branch joined us at Devil’s Bridge for a chat. 166 miles were covered in the day.
Scarborough Ride Out 22nd June
Seven riders from the Yorkshire Branch met up with Harry and Alan from the East Yorkshire Branch during the ride out to Scarborough. Fortunately only minor rain showers were encountered! 193 miles were covered in the day.
