Norton Festival – Devon 2014

15 branch members attended the Norton Festival in Devon over the weekend of the1st to 3rd August, the beer tent proved popular!

15 branch members attended the Norton Festival in Devon over the weekend of the 1st to 3rd August, the beer tent proved popular! Two awards were made to branch members, Russ Ward received the best ridden Commando award, Peter Holland won the best ridden lightweight award (Peter rode his Electra to the event – approx. 350 miles each way).

Norton Club Nederland 40th anniversary rally – 20th to 22nd June

4 branch members made the trip to the rally in Holland, a couple of breakdowns were dealt with along the way!

A good ride out in dry weather again, 7 bikes attended the 146 mile run, Pen-y-ghent forms a nice backdrop in the photo.

Sowerby Bridge Classic Bike Show

the branch put on a display at this event that was arranged by our own Dave Roberts and the local Rotary Club with all proceeds going to charilty. Approx 70 bikes attended the event that was puncuated with sunshine and showers. Albert Duvall won the 'best special' award for his model 50 based special.

Ride Out – 19th April 2014

13 bikes attended the run around the Yorkshire Dales on a sunny but cool day, 8 of these were Norton's. The run called in at Ripon and Hawes and covered a total of 173 miles.

Yorkshire Branches Quiz

On Thursday 17th April a joint branch quiz was held between the East Yorkshire branch and the Yorkshire Branch, 5 members from the Yorkshire Branch made the journey across to Howden and were surprise winners of the quiz, well done to Bruce, Peter, Andy, Barrie and John who scooped the prize of a gallon of beer! A good night was had by all.
